How we research
Every guide starts with the question a real reader is asking. We then gather manufacturer specifications, extension-service growing guides, seed-company trial data, regional planting calendars and documented experiences from long-term owners before a word is written.
What we will not do
- Claim hands-on testing that did not happen. Where a verdict is based on published data rather than our own use, the article says so.
- Let affiliate commissions influence a recommendation or ranking.
- Publish pesticide or fertilizer advice that ignores the product label.
- Leave a guide unreviewed for more than 12 months.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email admin@balconyveggies.com with the page URL. Confirmed corrections are made within 5 working days and noted at the foot of the article.
Updates
Product guides are re-checked when a new generation of the product ships and at least every 12 months. The ‘last updated’ date on each article reflects the most recent substantive review.
AI assistance
We use software tools to help organise research and draft structure. Every published article is reviewed and edited by a human editor who is responsible for its accuracy.
